NEW YEAR - NEW START, NEW BEGINNING, NEW HOPES, NEW BLESSINGS, NEW DAY

MAY YOUR NEW YEAR BE HARD TO BEAT!

May your month and your money always meet!
May your health keep you up-right on your feet!

May your kitchen be filled with plenty to eat!...
Especially great cuts of meat!
And breads with the best wheat!
Oh, but maybe never never a beet!

May your home environment always have adequate heat!
May it always be warm on your toilet seat!
May your bed be lined with the finest sheet!

May all the people in your life be extra sweet!
May there be kind neighbors on your street!
Smiling each time you greet!

May you have inspiring encouragement to give out to others as their treat!

May the birds in your bushes give off a lovely tweet!
May the weather never bring you sleet.

May God keep your heart from never missing a beat!
Because to me you are so very special and truly neat!

Putting The Past Behind You
Wipe the slate clean start a new and better way of behaving,
forgetting about any bad experiences in the past.

Philippians 3:13-14
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. ...

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Luke 9:62
Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Psalm 34: 14
Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.

TAKE INVENTORY OF YOUR NEW CREATION.

KNOW YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST.

WE ARE HIS AMBASSADORS.

A NEW FAITH

Have a faith centered in Jesus Christ. Hebrews 12: 2
  • Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

A faith which works for Jesus Christ. James 2: 17
  •  In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

A faith which lives for Jesus Christ. Hebrews 10: 38
  • “But my righteous one will live by faith.
        And I take no pleasure
in the one who shrinks back.”

A NEW ASSURANCE

Assurance over doubt. John 10: 28
  • I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.Assurance over temptation.
Assured forever. Psalms 121: 8
  • The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

A NEW DEDICATION TO THE WORD

Examine the scriptures daily. Acts 17: 11
  • Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

A NEW PRAYER LIFE

A cross-bearing life. Luke 14: 27
  • And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

A life of self-denial. Matthew 16: 24
  • Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
Constant, steadfast prayer in both word and thought. 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
  •  Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

A NEW TESTIMONY

A testimony of praise. Psalms 119: 171
  • May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
A testimony without sin. Job 2: 10
  • He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

Acts 2: 42

They were continually devoting themselves to:
  • the apostles teaching (mental development),
  • and to fellowship (social expansion),
  • to breaking of bread (physical nourishment),
  • and to prayer (spiritual gain).

Businesses often take inventory at the beginning of a new year.

Christians also need a time of spiritual inventory.

New Years Day is a good time do an inventory.

Thank you Maleeka, Rashida, and Lucy for reading my blog.

May each new day the Lord give you hope to shoot arrows in the sky:
By reading God's word and acting upon it
By praying
By seeing needs and filling them
By doing unplanned spontaneous kind deeds that are kingdom opportunities
By recognizing faithful family and friends and showing appreciation for the joy and blessings they bring to your life
By taking time to hear the Holy Spirit
By honoring the Father
By sharing Jesus
