REVIVAL! DOES THE CHURCH AND THE MINISTERS REALLY WANT IT?

"To the church a revival means humiliation, a bitter knowledge of failure, and an open and humiliating confession of sin on the part of her ministers and people.

It is not the easy and glowing thing many think it to be, who imagine that it fills the empty pews, and reinstates the Church in power and authority.

IT COMES TO SCORCH BEFORE IT HEALS; it comes to rebuke ministers and people for their unfaithful witness, for their selfish living, for their neglect of the Cross, and to call them to daily renunciation, to an evangelical poverty, and to a deep and daily consecration.

This is why a revival has ever been unpopular with large numbers within the Church. Because it says nothing to them of power such as they have learned to love, or of ease, or of success; it accuses them of sin, it tells them that they are dead, it calls them to awake, to renounce the world, and to follow Christ."

A GOVERNMENT PRAYER -- Germaine Copeland -- Ps. 33:12

American Government
Father, in Jesus’ name, we give thanks for the United States and its government. We hold up in prayer before You the men and women who are in positions of authority. We pray and intercede for the president, the representatives, the senators, the judges of our land, the policemen and the policewomen, as well as the governors and mayors, and for all those who are in authority over us in any way. We pray that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon them.

We believe that skillful and godly wisdom has entered into the heart of our president and knowledge is pleasant to him. Discretion watches over him; understanding keeps him and delivers him from the way of evil and from evil men.

Father, we ask that You compass the president about with men and women who make their hearts and ears attentive to godly counsel and do that which is right in Your sight. We believe You cause them to be men and women of integrity who are obedient concerning us that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. We pray that the upright shall dwell in our government — that men and women blameless and complete in Your sight, Father, shall remain in these positions of authority, but the wicked shall be cut off from our government and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.

Your Word declares that “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Ps. 33:12). We receive Your blessing. Father; You are our Refuge and Stronghold in times of trouble (high cost, destitution, and desperation). So we declare with our mouths that Your people dwell safely in this land, and we prosper abundantly. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus!

It is written in Your Word that the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord and that You turn it whichever way You desire. We believe the heart of our leader is in Your hand and that his decisions are divinely directed of the Lord.

We give thanks unto You that the good news of the Gospel is published in our land. The Word of the Lord prevails and grows mightily in the hearts and lives of the people. We give thanks for this land and the leaders You have given to us, in Jesus’ name.

Jesus is Lord over the United States! Amen.

HILLARY CLINTON ON ABORTION -- MAYBE RACIST? JUST MAY BE!

Hillary Clinton:
”I admire Margaret Sanger enormously… there are a lot of lessons we can learn from her”

"Sanger’s reputation was constantly under attack while she was alive. But in the years after her death in 1966, Sanger is also remembered as a racist who promoted eugenics — a word that in the 1920s was considered a respectable science, but carries horrific implications now. Any casual search of Sanger’s name will bring up a series of fairly disturbing quotes:
“The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
“We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”
“Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives.”
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
 Dietrich Bonhoeffer
RACIST? YOU DECIDE!
"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Margaret Sanger

Hillary Clinton admires Margaret Sanger's Planned Parenthood

"Dr. Mildred Jefferson, a prominent, outspoken opponent of abortion and the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School, died Friday at her home in Cambridge, Mass. She was 84 (October 18, 2010)"
Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion, “gave my profession an almost unlimited license to kill,” Dr. Jefferson testified before Congress in 1981.
Dr. Jefferson, a surgeon, was speaking in support of a bill, sponsored by Senator Jesse Helms, Republican of North Carolina, and Representative Henry J. Hyde, Republican of Illinois, that sought to declare that human life “shall be deemed to exist from conception.” Had it passed, it would have allowed states to prosecute abortion as murder."

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9: 27-28

I woke up this morning at 4 AM with a pain in my chest -- I got up an took an aspirin just in case it was a heart attack!
It was in fact a heart ache -- once again this morning I became so grieved in my spirit for the unborn babies.
I thought about Terri Schiavo's case from years back and the "Right-to-die" and the current issues now of great interest "Right-to-try".
Amazing what all we as humans TRY to control!
Strange are the mysteries of life and then we each die in some way or another usually not of our choosing!
Each to then face our creator (if you believe the Bible) and be accountable for the decisions / indecisions we have made during that short visitation on earth.

Dear Lord, Please help Americans today to wash our hands and hearts from the evil of abortion and the bloodshed that has brought a vexing to our land. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Can a corrupt throne be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?
The wicked band together against the righteous
and condemn the innocent to death.
Psalms 94: 20-21

Roe vs. Wade

S. 142 (113th): Hyde Amendment Codification Act

LUKEWARM (Lacking conviction or enthusiasm; indifferent) does this describe you regarding abortion?
“These are the words of the Amen, the trusted and faithful and true Witness, the Beginning and Origin of God’s creation:
Revelations 3: 15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold (invigorating, refreshing) nor hot (healing, therapeutic); I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out o...f My mouth [rejecting you with disgust]. 17 Because you say, “I am rich, and have prospered and grown wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked [without hope and in great need], 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold that has been heated red hot and refined by fire so that you may become truly rich; and white clothes [representing righteousness] to clothe yourself so that the shame of your nakedness will not be seen; and healing salve to put on your eyes so that you may see. 19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I rebuke and discipline [showing them their faults and instructing them]; so be enthusiastic and repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]. 20 Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me. 21 He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

COMPROMISE are you accepting standards that are lower than is desirable regarding abortion?
Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
Hebrew 13: 7 Remember your leaders [for it was they] who brought you the word of God; and consider the result of their conduct [the outcome of their godly lives], and imitate their faith [their conviction that God exists and is the Creator and Ruler of all things, the Provider of eternal salvation through Christ, and imitate their reliance on God with absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness]. 8 Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever. 9 Do not be carried away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and strengthened by grace and not by foods [rules of diet and ritualistic meals], which bring no benefit or spiritual growth to those who observe them. 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle (sacred tent) have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city] gate so that He might sanctify and set apart for God as holy the people [who believe] through [the shedding of] His own blood. 13 So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His contempt [the disgrace and shame that He had to suffer]. 14 For here we have no lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.
“A great poverty reigns in a country that allows taking the life of an unborn child -- a child created in God's image, created to live and to love. His or her life is not for destroying but for living, despite the selfishness of those who fear that they lack the means to feed or educate one more child.”
– Mother Teresa

Seeking God for Revival

Seeking God for Revival:  http://www.prayerclosetministries.org/The following are Scripture prayers and ideas to help you seek God for revival. These are some suggestions on how you and your church can seek God for revival. These suggestions are offered to you to help you plead with God for genuine revival in your church and across the nation. I want to emphasize that these suggestions are not magical formulas. They are simply ways that you can seek God for revival. Revival comes from God. Receiving revival calls for believers to seek God with faith and with the Word of God. These are suggested starting points for your intercession concerning
revival in your church and the nation. You can use these suggestions, add more to them, or you can develop your own prayer requests and reasons from these. As you pray for revival, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leadership. He may give you insights on how to pray for revival in your particular church. He also may give you more Scripture to pray through concerning revival. As you pray through these requests, start with yourself. Ask God to do these things in your life. Plead with Him for a fresh work of His grace and His power. (feel free to print out this form to use during your prayer time)
Specific Requests
(1) Pray that God will create a spirit of humility and brokenness among the believers (Isaiah 57:15; James 4:6). God will not revive those who are self-sufficient and proud. The believers must come to see their spiritual bankruptcy and utter dependence on God.

(2) Pray that God would grant believers a deeper understanding and awareness of His holiness (Isaiah 6:1-5; 1 Peter 15-16). The holiness of God is a neglected subject in the church today. Yet, it is essential to revival. We need to understand that God is utterly holy. He does not and cannot sin. He is not tempted nor is He tempted. He is pure and without the stain of sin. He always does what is right and good. Pray that believers would be gripped by the absolute holiness of God.

(3) Ask God to reveal to believers the depth and the evil of their sin. Call on the Holy Spirit to move them to confess and repent of their sin (Psalm 19:12-14; 1 John 1:9). The Holy Spirit is grieved when a believer cherishes sin and does not confess and repent of it (Psalm 66:18; Ephesians 4:30). When the Holy Spirit is grieved, He will not release His miraculous, life-transforming power into our midst. Sin has to be dealt with by believers. Believers must be honest about their sin and must come clean with God about these things.

(4) Plead with God to grant the believers a hunger for the Word of God and a readiness to obey the Word of God (Psalm 119:97, 103; 1 John 2:3-6). Plead with the Holy Spirit to stir within every believer a desire to search and to know the Word of God. Ask Him to remove any complacency toward the Word of God by the believers. Call on Him to stir the believers to be doers of the Word and not simply hearers of the Word (James 1:22-24).

(5) Ask God to reveal any obstacles that could hinder your church from experiencing genuine revival. Then pray for its removal (Psalm 139:23). Pray that God will reveal anything that is not pleasing to Him in your church. Call on Him to deal with these obstacles. Plead with Him to remove anything that is hindering the church to experience a genuine working of the Holy Spirit in revival.

(6) Pray that your pastor will preach the Word of God with power, conviction, and authority (1 Corinthians 2:1-4; 2 Timothy 3:16-4:4). Revival usually comes when God gives His people bold, faithful, and fearless preachers of the Word of God. True and powerful preaching of the Word of God is used by God to revive His people. Plead that your pastor will powerfully preach the Word of God. Pray that He will proclaim the fundamental truths of the faith with great clarity, conviction, and power.

(7) Ask God to deal with any unforgiveness or bitterness among the believers of the church (Ephesians 4:30-32). Unconfessed sin grieves the Holy Spirit. Yet, in the context of Ephesians 4, the emphasis on right relationships in the church. When believers are at odds with each other, the Spirit is grieved. Nothing quenches the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit like broken relationships among believers. Pray that the broken relationships among believers would be healed. Ask Jesus Christ to bind Satan's work through the broken relationships (Ephesians 4:27). Call on God to deal with the unforgiveness or bitterness that is grieving the Holy Spirit.

(8) Plead that God would convict and save any deceived, unregenerate church members (Matthew 7:21-23; 2 Corinthians 13:5-6). There are times when deceived, unregenerate church members work against what God is doing in the church. They cause believers to stumble. Plead that God would deal with any members who may be deceived and are not truly saved. Call on God to strip their hope in themselves and reveal to them the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

(9) Call on God to convict believers that they must give an account of their lives at the judgment seat of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:9-10). Believers need to realize that they must give an account to God for their lives. There will be a day of judgment for the believer. Believers need to be gripped and motivated by the fact that they will give account to the Lord Jesus Christ one day. Pray that believers will realize this and remember this.

(10) Pray that God will grant the believers an agonizing burden for lost people and an unceasing desire to share the gospel with them (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 9:1-3). Call on God to create within believers a burden to pray for and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with lost people. Plead with Him to grant this to every believer.

(11) Plead that God will give the believers a deeper love for the Lord Jesus Christ (1 John 4:1-3). The Spirit of God enables people to confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Revival is a powerful work of the Holy Spirit in which He draws believers closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. In revival, he leads believers to love and to confess Jesus Christ in a deeper, more faithful way than at other times. Pray that the Holy Spirit will deepen the believers' love for and confession of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Lord and Savior.
Prayer Arguments
The following are prayer arguments that you can use to plead with God for revival. These prayer arguments are biblical reasons that you can use to call on God to revive His people. Nehemiah provides an example of this kind of praying (Nehemiah 1). Nehemiah 1 records Nehemiah's prayer for the restoration of Jerusalem. The city was in ruins and God's name and glory were at stake. Nehemiah prays to God and calls on Him to restore Jerusalem. In calling on God to restore Jerusalem, Nehemiah quotes from Deuteronomy. He gives scriptural reasons why God should restore Jerusalem. The following prayer arguments are scriptural reasons why God should grant genuine revival to His church. You can use these to plead with God to grant the revival that is so desperately need. You can take these and develop other prayer arguments to use in pleading with God. The key issue is to plead with God's own Word. Call on God to be faithful to His own Word.

(1) Father, this church bears Your name. We are Your representatives in this world. We have dishonored You and Your name through our indifference, unconcern, and lack of holiness. How can You bear allowing us to continue as we are? Have mercy on us, O God! Grant revival to us that we might live lives worthy for Your name's sake (2 Corinthians 5:20).

(2) Father, we have become a reproach to the lost world around us. Our lack of holiness and failure to deal with sin has brought on us the contempt and ridicule of the world. How can You let Your church be ridiculed? How can You stand the fact that Your church lacks influence in this community? O God, have mercy on us! Revive Your church that we may exercise a righteous influence in the world. Cause Your presence and power to be displayed in this church so that believers and unbelievers will be in awe of You. Do this, O God, for the sake of Your Son, who bought and established the church with His own blood! For the sake of Jesus and His love for the church, grant revival to Your people (Acts 20:28).

(3) Father, You have commanded in Your Word that we must not grieve the Holy Spirit. Yet, I confess that we have grieved Your Holy Spirit. He is grieved because of our sin and unwillingness to deal with that sin. I plead that You would grant revival so that we would deal with our sin as never before in our relationship to You. Do this so that Your Holy Spirit will no longer be grieved. Do this so that Your Holy Spirit will be pleased to release His power into our midst (Ephesians 4:30).

(4) Father, I plead that You will grant revival in order to deal with our unbelief. Jesus will not work in an atmosphere of unbelief. I believe, Lord; help my unbelief! I pray that You will grant revival and increase our faith in You as never before in our relationship to You. As you do this, I trust that Jesus will transform lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. O God, I plead that You would remove our unbelief. Have mercy on us! Forgive our lack of faith! Grant revival so that Your people will have a
renewed faith so that we can experience the miraculous power of Jesus Christ in our midst (Hebrews 11:6; James 1:5-8).

(5) Father, Your gospel is the good news about Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is the glorious and gracious message that through His Person and His work, sinners can be brought into a right relationship with You. It is the power of God to salvation. It is the message that brings sinners into a right relationship to You. It is the greatest message ever given among people. Yet, we are not sharing this message. We have grown indifferent to this message. We have failed to proclaim this message on a continual basis to the lost who are in desperate need of it. Forgive us of this abominable sin! Have mercy on us, O God! Grant revival to us that we would share this message with the lost. Send genuine revival so
that Your gospel will go forth in power from us! For the sake of Your gospel, I plead that You will grant revival (Romans 1:16).

(6) Father, You have declared in Your Word that if I call to You that You will show me great and mighty things which I do not know. I am calling to You, O God! I am pleading with You to grant revival to the believers of __________________ Church. We desperately need it. You have the power to grant it. I am calling on You and am believing You for this. This is Your Word. I am calling to You, Father. Will You be true to Your Word? Are you going to be faithful to Your promise

Father? For the sake of Your Word, I plead that You will grant revival to Your people (Jeremiah 33:3).

Father, cause Your people of ___________________________ Church to love each other with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22:39).
Dealing With Your Idols
In 1 John 5:21, the apostle John warns believers to keep themselves from idols. An idol is anything or anybody that you love more than God. It is anything or anybody in your life that receives greater priority in your life than God. This verse reveals that Christians are in danger of allowing things and people to become more important, to receive a greater priority in our lives, than God.

If the people of God are going to experience revival, our idols must be put away (1 Samuel 7:3). In order to return to the Lord and experience revival, you must deal with those things that receive a greater priority in your life than your relationship to God. The following prayer requests are offered to help you identify the idols in your life and then deal with them. These prayers are based on the Word of God and focus on the idolatrous loves that God despises and condemns.

Your idolatry must be confessed and repented of. You can begin this process with the following prayer. Then you can pray through the other requests. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any idols that you have built in your life. Plead with Him to enable You to deal with these idolatrous loves and to remove them from your life. Pray that other believers will deal with the idols in their lives.

"Father, You have declared that I am to love You first of all, best of all, and most of all. You have said in Matthew 22:37-38 that I am to love You with my entire being. This is Your Word. This is Your desire and command for me. I plead with You to grant me the grace and power to do this. Reveal to me the idols that I have erected in my life. Show me anything that I love more than You--anything that I have made a higher priority than You. I pray that Your Holy Spirit would convict me deeply and powerfully concerning the idols in my life. Enable me to deal with them. Amen."

Love of money: I pray that I would not love money more than You and that I would not have a sinful longing for it. Do not allow my pursuit of money to be greater or more important to me than my pursuit of knowing, loving, and obeying You (1 Timothy 6:10).

Love of self: I plead that I would not love myself more than You, Father. Deliver me from being self-centered and grant me the power and strength to deny myself (2 Timothy 3:2).

Love of approval: Father, I pray that I will love and seek Your approval above the approval of men. Cause me to pursue a lifestyle of pleasing You rather than men (John 12:42).

Love of power or control: Father, enable me to overcome the desire for power. I plead that You will create in me a servant's heart and willing to serve others (3 John 9:10).

Love of pleasure: I plead that I will not love pleasure more than You. Cause me to find my greatest delight and pleasure in You (2 Timothy 3:4).

Love of food: Father, I want You to be my God and not my stomach. Cause me to have the proper perspective when it comes to food (Proverbs 21:17)

Love of sleep: Enable me to get the proper rest, but deliver me from indulging in too much sleep and laziness (Proverbs 20:13).

Love of darkness (sin): I pray that I would not love my sin more than You. Cause me to hate sin and to love You with all my being (John 3:19).

Love of simplicity: Father, I ask that I would not prefer my own wisdom above Your Word (Proverbs 1:22).

Love of cursing: I pray that I would not love speaking profanity and filth above speaking words of love and encouragement (Psalm 109:17).

Love of abundance: I ask that the pursuit of my life would not be gaining material possessions. I ask that You would grant me the grace and power to love You and pursue You above all else (Ecclesiastes 5:10).

Love of the things of the world: Father, do not allow me to love the attitudes and actions of this world above You. Deliver me from the lust of the flesh and eyes and the pride of life. Cause me to love You and Your Word more than this world (1 John 2:15).
Revelation 2-3 Prayer Model

Revelation 2-3 are Christ's messages to the churches of Asia Minor in the first century. These messages speak to churches of all ages. By praying through these chapters, you can plead with God to bring revival and change to your church. The following are suggested prayer requests that you can pray concerning revival in your church:

(1) Pray that God will give the believers a fresh vision of the Lord Jesus Christ (1:12-18).

(2) Plead that God will enable believers to return to Jesus Christ as their first love, their top priority (2:1-7).

(3) Ask that believers will commit themselves to be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ no matter what their circumstances are (2:8-11).

(4) Call on God to convict believers about the evil of tolerating sin and false doctrine in the midst of the church (2:12-17).

(5) Plead with God to deal with immorality in the church (2:18-29). Ask God to strengthen the marriages in your church and to strengthen the singles to live a life of sexual purity. Plead that your church will be an example marital faithfulness and sexual purity to the lost world around you.

(6) Pray that God will convict the believers of your church of simply going through the motions (3:1-7). Pray that God would create in the believes a desire to pursue holiness and obedience rather than being content with the appearance of spiritual life and vitality.

(7) Pray that God will mold the church into a body that He can powerfully use (3:7-13). Plead that God would deal with any hindrances that are keeping your church from providing a powerful witness and ministry to the world.

(8) Plead that God would destroy a self-sufficient, proud spirit from the believers who make up the church (3:14-22).

PRAYER FOR AMERICA -- PLEASE VOTE PRO-LIFE

Dear Heavenly Father,
I continue to grieve for the condition of the woman “with child” (as Mary was) and the decisions our nation has placed before her and the child's seed sower.
You know the story well, remember you wrote “THE BOOK,” the one telling about child sacrifice through Molech in the Old Testament and the one about John jumping in the womb of Elizabeth and may we never forget David or Sampson and the results of their lust stories.
Father, somehow I believe all this dirty talk in politics and in the media is a reflection of our society in general when it seem to be all about the sex, gender identity, and abortion rather than issues and concerns of the grassroots people.
I believe the deepest issue is abortion which is often merely the covering of sex sins (adultery and fornication) by trying to destroy the evidence.
So Lord, please I'm asking for a new form of birth-control in America; could you please help men to keep it in their pants and women to hold an aspirin tightly between their legs and for both to put the word “abstain” in their minds and the word “NO” on their lips and in their hearts.
Forgive the sins of our nation I now pray as early voting has begun all across the land. May candidates of your will and choosing be only those who are the best moral discerners win political positions or be selected to our court of justice in our future.
Lord, you and I know that political parties do not rule the heart or conscience unless we give them permission to so.
Therefore today I come to you in prayer asking you to help by your Holy Spirit all those who remain undecided or confused to merely vote their conscience on behalf of the unborn and on behalf of America.
Father, I do understand many people all across our land do not believe as I do and have not accepted the truths of your word yet, but for those who call themselves Christian these are the ones who can make a difference on behalf of your kingdom's glory so please be with them in spirit and truth I pray in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
Luke 1: 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

Isaiah 59:7-8 Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their highways. The way of peace they do not know, and there is no justice in their paths; they have made their roads crooked; no one who treads on them knows peace.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Ezekiel 23:37 For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. With their idols they have committed adultery, and they have even offered up to them for food the children whom they had borne to me.

AMERICAN ELECTION PRAYER -- VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE -- NOT A PARTY LINE

Dear Heavenly Father,
I am so grieved in my soul for our nation of America. With a soon to come election I ask you to work through your Holy Spirit to change our nation -- how low can we go?
I hope it is as low as to our knees in sorrow, prayer, fasting, and repentance.
I believe Washington DC politicians have compromised to evil and they cover up the greatest sin ever to come upon mankind; that of abortion the sl
aughter of the unborn child -- your gift, the fruit of the womb.
When people want to endorse kill and innocent blood shed it makes me wonder if they are trying to cover their own sin tracks.
I know you died once and for all that your precious blood was shed for our redemption and that nothing can replace that blood covering we have in you -- forgive us Lord.
Life is in the blood and through abortion the blood of children, our future generations. now cries out as it covers our land from bloody California to bloody NY, from bloody seas to bloody sea.
THIS IS TRULY THE SHAME OF AMERICA!
FORGIVE US LORD -- LEAD US TO A PLACE OF RESTORATION!
HELP ALL WHO WISH TO BE IN LEADERSHIP OVER US (in any dimension) TO REPENT AND SEEK YOU IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH .
ONLY YOU KNOW THE DEPTHS OF THEIR HEARTS AND THE PRESSURES THEY ARE UNDER FROM EVIL FORCES ON ALL SIDES IN PARTICULAR THE MEDIA AND THE MONEY.
PLEASE HEAL OUR LAND LORD -- PLEASE GIVE STRENGTH TO YOUR PEOPLE TO FAST AND PRAY AND SEEK YOU SO THEY CAN BOLDLY SPEAK OUT YOUR WILL NOW AND ESTABLISH IT ELECTION DAY.
In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

A Proclamation.
Whereas, the Senate of the United States, devoutly recognizing the Supreme Authority and just Government of Almighty God, in all the affairs of men and of nations, has, by a resolution, requested the President to designate and set apart a day for National prayer and humiliation.
And whereas it is the duty of nations as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.
And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of civil war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!
It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.
Now, therefore, in compliance with the request, and fully concurring in the views of the Senate, I do, by this my proclamation, designate and set apart Thursday, the 30th. day of April, 1863, as a day of national humiliation, fasting and prayer. And I do hereby request all the People to abstain, on that day, from their ordinary secular pursuits, and to unite, at their several places of public worship and their respective homes, in keeping the day holy to the Lord, and devoted to the humble discharge of the religious duties proper to that solemn occasion.
All this being done, in sincerity and truth, let us then rest humbly in the hope authorized by the Divine teachings, that the united cry of the Nation will be heard on high, and answered with blessings, no less than the pardon of our national sins, and the restoration of our now divided and suffering Country, to its former happy condition of unity and peace.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed.
Done at the City of Washington, this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three, and of the Independence of the United States the eighty seventh.
By the President: Abraham Lincoln
