MATURITY is the ability to settle differences without violence or destruction.MATURITY is the patience, the willingness to pass up immediate pleasure in favor of the long term gain.
MATURITY is unselfishness – responding to the needs of others, often at the expense of one's own desires or wishes.
MATURITY is the capacity to fare unpleasantness and frustration, discomfort and defeat, without complaint or collapse.
MATURITY is humility. It is being big enough to say, “I was wrong”. And when right, the mature person need not say, “I told you so”.
MATURITY is the ability to make a decision and stand by it. The immature spend their lives exploring endless possibilities then do nothing.
MATURITY means dependability, keeping one's word, coming thorough in a crisis.
MATURITY is the art of living in peace with that which cannot be changed.
"Do not be children [immature, childlike] in your thinking; be infants in [matters of] evil [completely innocent and inexperienced], but in your minds BE MATURE [adults]."
1 Corinthians 14:20
"Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are MATURE; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God’s wisdom in A MYSTERY, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written,
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:6
He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the EQUIPPING OF THE SAINTS FOR THE WORK OF SERVICE, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all ATTAIN TO THE UNITY OF FAITH, and of the KNOWLEDGE of the Son of God, TO A MATURE MAN, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."
Ephesians 4:9-16
"And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ. I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able, for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?"
1 Corinthians 3:1-3
"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him."
Colossians 2:6-16
"All of us, then, who are MATURE should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.
Join together in following my example, brothers and sisters, and just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN. And WE EAGERLY AWAIT A SAVIOR from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body."
Philippians 3:15-21
True mark of MATURITY is when somebody hurts you and you try to understand their situation instead of trying to hurt them back.
I've learned — that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned — that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned — that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned — that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned — that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned — that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do but to the best you can do.
I've learned — that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.
I've learned — that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I've learned — that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.
I've learned — that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned — that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.
I've learned — that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned — that you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I've learned — that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned — that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned — that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had better be something else to take its place.
I've learned — that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned — that learning to forgive takes practice. Yet it is always worth the work.
I've learned — that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it. And, never bother to learn
I've learned — that money is a lousy way of keeping score, and an even poorer way of showing love.
I've learned — that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned — that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned — that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned — that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance... and so does true love.
I've learned — that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned — that maturity has more to do with the way you handled experiences in life and the lesson you learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned _ that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I've learned — that family doesn't always mean biological. Sometimes people you aren't related to can care and love you so much they teach you to trust people all over again.
I've learned — that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned — that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned — that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned — that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned — that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.
I've learned — that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned — that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.
I've learned — that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned — that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned — that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I've learned — that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned — that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.
I've learned — that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.
I've learned — that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.
I've learned — that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
I've learned — that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned — that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.
I've learned — that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned — that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.
I've learned — that although the word "love" can have many different meanings, it loses value when overly used.
I've learned — that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.
I've learned — the feet you step on today may be attached to the hand you'll be kissing tomorrow.
And..... I'm still learning.

Deuteronomy 28
1 IF you fully OBEY THE LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
2 ALL BLESSINGS WILL COME on you and accompany you IF you obey the LORD your God:
3 You will be BLESSED IN THE CITY and BLESSED IN THE COUNTRY.
4 The fruit of your womb will be BLESSED, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be BLESSED.
6 You will be BLESSED when you come in and BLESSED when you go out.
7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
8 The LORD will send a BLESSING on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will BLESS you in the land he is giving you.
9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, IF you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in obedience to him.
10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. IF you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.
The Lord's MERCIES & COMPASSIONS fail not.
They are NEW EVERY MORNING: great is thy faithfulness.
Blessed be the Lord God Almighty - Maranatha Singers (With Lyrics)
Psalm 128:1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.
5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

THE LORD'S COMING James 5:1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. 3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for THE LAST DAYS. 4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. 5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. 6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
7 BE PATIENT therefore, BRETHREN, UNTO THE COMING OF THE LORD. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 BE ye also PATIENT; STABLISH YOUR HEART: for THE COMING OF THE LORD DRAWETH NIGH. 9 GRUDGE NOT one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, THE JUDGE STANDETH BEFORE THE DOOR.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 11 Behold, WE COUNT THEM HAPPY WHICH ENDURE. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Psalm 30:1 I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3 O Lord, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
4 Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
8 I cried to thee, O Lord; and unto the Lord I made supplication.
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

John 4:35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

Tares among Wheat Matthew 13:24-30 Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while his men were sleeping, HIS ENEMY CAME and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away. 26 But when the wheat sprouted and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. 27 The slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ 28 And he said to them, ‘An enemy has done this!’ The slaves *said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’ 29 But he *said, ‘No; for while you are gathering up the tares, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

PSALM 97
1 THE LORD REIGNS, let the earth REJOICE;
Let the many islands BE GLAD.
2 Clouds and thick darkness surround Him;
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 Fire goes before Him
And burns up His adversaries round about.
4 His lightnings lit up the world;
The earth saw and trembled.
5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples have seen His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve graven images,
Who boast themselves of idols;
Worship Him, all you gods.
8 Zion heard this and was glad,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, O Lord.
9 For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth;
YOU ARE EXALTED FAR ABOVE ALL GODS.
10 Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who preserves the souls of His godly ones;
He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown like seed for the righteous
And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 BE GLAD IN THE LORD, you righteous ones,
And GIVE THANKS TO HIS HOLY NAME.
REJOICE in the Lord always: and again I say, REJOICE. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication WITH THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God. And the PEACE OF GOD, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:4 -7
FOUR WORDS YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR.
"I NEVER KNEW YOU"
Matthew 7:18-23
"A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them. "Not everyone who says to me, 'LORD, LORD,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'LORD, LORD, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I NEVER KNEW YOU. Away from me, you evildoers!' Matthew 7:18-23

Heavenly Father,
I come to you though the precious shed blood of Christ my Savior;
I ask that your wisdom of discernment be upon each person who is truly seeking your truths regarding Halloween.
Your holy word says in James 4:7"Submit therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you."
I ask that strength be given to believers in Jesus so that they can resist deception and go forth in your Word and ways to defeat the enemy's lies and powers as they put on the whole armor mentioned in Ephesians 6. Forgive our lack of knowledge -- help us to break the iniquities passed down to us through traditions of mankind as well as those of our forefathers who maybe didn't know your plan of salvation. Deliver our families and nation from all forms of darkness -- as we resist the lies of Satan. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN
