Take warning from those who fell away in unbelief:
•Some no longer have faith at all. (II Thessalonians 3:2) "And that we may be delivered from perverse (improper, unrighteous) and wicked (actively malicious) men, for not everybody has faith and is held by it."
•Some have shipwrecked their faith. (I Timothy 1:19) "Holding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith."
•Some have left the faith for the doctrines of devils. (I Timothy 4:1) "But the [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach,"
•Some have denied the faith by not providing for their family. (I Timothy 5:8) "If anyone fails to provide for his relatives, and especially for those of his own family, he has disowned the faith [by failing to accompany it with fruits] and is worse than an unbeliever [who performs his obligation in these matters]."
•Some have cast off their first faith. (I Timothy 5:12) " And so they incur condemnation for having set aside and slighted their previous pledge."
•Some have turned aside after Satan. (I Timothy 5:15) "For already some [widows] have turned aside after Satan."
•Some have erred from the faith for the love of money. (I Timothy 6:10, 21) "10 For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs. 21 [For] by making such profession some have erred (missed the mark) as regards the faith. Grace (divine favor and blessing) be with you all! Amen (so be it)."
•Some will overthrow the faith of others. (II Timothy 2:17-18) "And their teaching [will devour; it] will eat its way like cancer or spread like gangrene. So it is with Hymenaeus and Philetus,
Who have missed the mark and swerved from the truth by arguing that the resurrection has already taken place. They are undermining the faith of some."
Who have missed the mark and swerved from the truth by arguing that the resurrection has already taken place. They are undermining the faith of some."
•Some are reprobate [disqualified] concerning the faith. (II Timothy 3:8) "Now just as Jannes and Jambres were hostile to and resisted Moses, so these men also are hostile to and oppose the Truth. They have depraved and distorted minds, and are reprobate and counterfeit and to be rejected as far as the faith is concerned."
I believe it is good to confess our sins to other Christians but use caution and wisdom. These confessions should be shared with a close Christian brother or sister whom you deeply trust. The reason that you confess your sins is so that they might pray for you to overcome these sins (James 5:16-19). If we confess or admit our sins to another believer we know we can trust, that person can pray for us to overcome that specific sin. I recommend those who are struggling with sins of addiction to find an accountability partner and tell them about it and be honest with them. Confess to your brother or sister in Christ when you slip and fall. Then they can pray for you and you can pray for them. The best thing is to have a close Christian friend whom you can be completely honest with and them with you. You both can agree to pray for one another and help each other overcome whatever major sin or sins that each of the two of you battle with. Confession is good for the soul and it is good for our relationship with God."

The Bible says “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23)
and
1st John 1:8 and 10 says “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us” however the good news is If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1st John 1:9).
